Swamp Spreadwing (Lestes vigilax)

Identification: Generally green dorsally on thorax and abdomen, with brown shoulder stripe. The lower lateral side of thorax is whitish, the lower leg (tibiae) is dark. In the male the cerci are a longish oval and the slightly shorter paraprocts are thin and fragile looking. In the female, the rim of the ovipositor is horn colored, isn't as long as the last abdominal segment and the basal tooth is horn colored and angularly sharp.
